It's been a whirlwind weekend! Friday afternoon myself, Dallas, Cash and my brother Vincenzo hopped in the car and headed for Charleston. My brother is visiting from Florida and he has never been to any of the Carolina coastal cities. Of course, we had to show him why Chuck town is so special. I'm not sure what he enjoyed more, the architecture or the food?
After showing him rainbow row, we hit SNOBS (Slightly North Of Broad) for a few cocktails before walking to Amen Street for dinner. Amen Street is our favorite place in Charleston to get oysters. Not only is the restaurant beautifully decorated with shell details but their oysters are the cleanest around. If it's one thing I can't stand it's a dirty oyster! It grosses me out. I prefer them to be rinsed after they are shucked.
We spent the night stuffing our faces and doing oyster shots until it was time to stumble back to our room at the gorgeous Grand Bohemian Autograph Hotel by Marriott. If you have never stayed at one of the Autograph Collection hotels I highly recommend it! They are extraordinarily crafted themed hotels in select cities but every single one I have ever stayed in is worth writing home about!
The next morning we got a call from our friends down the road who were staying in Hilton Head, South Carolina for the week. They had rented a house and invited us to drive down and stay the night with them instead of driving back to Charlotte right away. I mean, who am I to pass up a day with friends at the beach?
We arrived at Hilton Head just in time to see a beautiful sunset and my brother was sweet enough to capture it on video! Cashton is growing up so fast and I know I will cherish this video and the memories we made this weekend forever!
